My Script with Repeats Disappeared in Scripty –Myth Busted!

NOT TRUE: My script with repeats disappeared in the Scripty escript app

We get this question a lot: “I had repeats left on my eScript, but now it’s gone in Scripty. Did Scripty lose it?” Rest easy-your scripts aren’t lost, they’ve just been used!

Here’s what’s really going on:

Whenever your eScript is dispensed at the pharmacy, the national eScript system updates the status of that repeat to “dispensed.” This process was designed to closely mirror the old paper script system-each repeat is issued as a separate digital script. After you use a repeat, it becomes 'inactive' to keep your active script list clutter-free.

But don’t worry-you can still view these previous (dispensed) scripts in Scripty! Just use the filter option to "show inactive scripts" or "show all scripts."

Why isn’t my next repeat automatically added?

It’s a reasonable question! Digital sounds like it should mean automatic, right? But under the national eScript system, your next repeat is sent as a brand new eScript text message. Unless you connect Scripty to your Active Script List (ASL) and give permission, Scripty can’t automatically add those repeats for you.

  • Each new repeat is treated as a new script and arrives by text message.

  • Repeats won’t appear in Scripty unless you tap the new message’s link to add them.

  • Scripty follows the official system’s rules-scripts aren’t lost or deleted; they’re managed according to the design.

If I connect to my Active Script List, Scripty app auto updates for me

Want an easier automated way?

Connecting your Active Script List (ASL) makes it simple. With your permission, Scripty can securely access all your active scripts and updates-so you don’t have to add new scripts or repeats one at a time. ASL means your scripts and repeats will always appear in Scripty automatically, keeping everything up to date without hassle.

💡 Pro Tip: Ask your pharmacist about setting up ASL today-it’s a one-time step that makes managing your scripts consistently easier!

Rest assured: Scripty hasn’t lost your scripts-they’re just being handled in line with how the national eScript system is designed. 😊
